Eragon and Arya by MasterJazzman Eragon and Arya by MasterJazzman
Okay, this took me... like... forever. It's my first pic that was entirely digitally created. No paper or pencils involved.
I'm not quite satisfied with some things, e.g. the hair or the folds... some of the shading...

Anyway, this scene is supposed to take place after Eragon, Murtagh and Saphira rescued Arya and are on their way to the desert. Arya is still poisoned and thus sleeping while Eragon worries about her.
At first I wanted to at least draw Saphira too, but then decided to go one step at a time. I'm not good enough to do it all at once and I have very little patience. ^_^
I couldn't remember what the book said about their clothes, especially Arya's, so I made something up that looked "elfish" to me. Can't say if I succeeded. Meh.

Since I'm a lazy bum and hate to draw backgrounds of any kind I used [link] for the ground texture.

This is my first serious farnart of any kind and I daresay I am quite pleased with the result. ^_^
I hope you like it too.

Ah well, maybe Eragon will go Super-Saiyajin in the last book. Who knows? ^^

Oh no, she's definately out cold at the moment. The possibility remains, of course, that she will kill him later. ^^

I noticed that Eragon's hair looks a lot like the hair of Trunks from DBZ

Hehe, I guess it does, but that's just a coincidence. I didn't use Trunks as reference or aything. I just drew the hair and this is how it came out. :)

But still, it looks great and I love Eragon's shirt.

You should try drawing Angela the Witch, or the Seer-child Elva

Huh, Angela and espacially Elva might really be fun to draw. I'll see if I can find a suitable scene in the books :)

He would fit in I suppose, as he hangs around Angela all the time. Human form of course, cat would be boring :)

Comepletely boring! Solembum is better as a cat.

I love Angela, she's a wierd and unpredictable character, and she seems a little insane

arya's head seems unnaturally small, and as for the elf clothes, in the book I think it says she had a black leather sort of bodysuit thing. lol great job though. :)

Hi. Nice, I like the colouring, but I am pulling you up on Arya's head. What the hell happened to it?

Heya, thanks for commenting.
It seems I overdid it with my attempt at perspective. Subsequently Aryas head became somewhat smaller than it should have been. Sorry for that, I'll try not to fall into the same trap with my next drawing. :)

Pretty good especially for using a medium for the first time. Though I have to say the ears on Arya need to be elongigated and narrowed. I have to say it pretty good. Keep at it.

Thank you very much for the fav and especially for your comment. About the ears: I wanted to make them look "ordinary yet pointy", since I don't like the look of those overly long, World of Warcraft kinds of elven ears that seem to be very popular lately. Furthermore, in the Books the ears of the elfs are described als beeing merely pointy but otherwise normal and I wanted to remain true to that.

My bad. It's beeen several months (almost a year) since I've read the books. You kinda forget alot of the misc. information you have stored in your brain so they can cram all the military stuff in. Well it's was no problem I loved the picture. You did a great job none the less keeep it up.

Thank you!
Arya's head is so small because... well, its supposed to be a perspective thing. I guess it didn't work out too well... *sigh*
I'm still (verly slowly) learning how to color right, so it's nice to hear that I'm actually making progress ^_^

yeah, I thought your coloring and the folds was really nice.

But the head's a bit small....I get what you're trying to say/do with the perspective thing, and I think it'd've worked out better if you'd done that a bit to eragon, if you know what I mean....

But other than that, it's really good :) Keep it up!
Are you coloring with Photoshop?

Thank you, I'm glad you like it and I appreciate your advice. I will definately try to improve my perspective ond proportions in the future.

Yes, I did that in Photoshop. I'm still not very confident in PS coloring but I tried other programs like OpenCanvas and they just didn't work at all for me.

Bitteschön. :D
